So, why the name Concorso?
Our team have a huge passion for anything automotive and mechanical. It all started in the usual fashion – tinkering on cars with friends and family which now has formed a huge part of our lives!
Fast forward a few years and we’re regular spectators, visitors and entrants to many automotive events. When we first entered the industry, some of our team were given the opportunity to work at a variety of prestigious shows, and on some of the most illustrious cars in the world. The vehicles we worked on were judged at national Concours events, with some even achieving awards such as ‘Best in Class’ at the Bentley Owners club event at the prestigious Salon Privé. A 1st Place in the Thirty under 30 category at the 2022 Hampton Court Concours of Elegance with our own personal Ford Capri 2.8i, and a clean sweep of awards at the 2023 Jensen Concours D’Elegance , picking up ‘Best in Show’, ‘President choice award’ and ‘Best Interceptor’.
These events opened our eyes to the high calibre of cars that there are in the UK and Europe, as well as the finest of details which are inspected at such events listed above! We continued this ambition to one day have the opportunity to work on these cars and feel lucky to be exposed to the vehicles we are on an everyday basis. This was the inspiration behind the name – Concorso!
I am very pleased to say Concorso is involved with Porsche Club GB. It is the 2nd largest Porsche club in the world, boasting a massively impressive 22,000+ members. The involvement with Porsche Club GB started over six years ago, where we worked for one of the club sponsors, selling detailing products and offering valuable car care advice to members. One of our team has been invited back to judge the club’s National Concours D’ Elegance in recent years.
